Morshed Khan leaves for Delhi Monday

Foreign Minister M Morshed Khan is expected to leave for New Delhi on Monday as special envoy of Prime Minister Khaleda Zia to strengthen bilateral and regional co-operation as part of Bangladesh government's policy.Khan will carry two letters from the prime minister for Indian Premier Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi. He will hold talks with his Indian counterpart Natwar Singh, Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Food and Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar and Lok Sabha speaker Somnath Chatterjee. Talking to the UNB last night, Khan said he would meet the Indian leaders with a message to strengthen bilateral ties and move forward the sub-regional and regional co-operation. Bilateral, regional and international issues as well as the situation in the Middle East would come up during his talks with Natwar Singh, he said.
