Designed as a Rs 25-crore project, director and co-producer Farhan Akhtar and producer Ritesh Sidhwani's Lakshya overshot its budget despite meticulous planning. The main reason for this, according to Sidhwani, was the weather of Ladakh where 80 per cent of the film was shot. 'We could shoot only 8 hours, instead of the scheduled 10, in Ladakh,' he says.
