Sher-e-Bangla soccer restarts on April 20

The qualifying rounds of the Sher-e Bangla Cup national football championships will kick off on April 28 in ten zones.The ten group winners will join defending champions Noakhali District Sports Association and hosts Natore in the 12-team finals in Natore from May 10. A regular event organised by the Bangladesh Football Federation however has not been held for the past three years. All 64 districts and the services and university teams will take part in the qualifiers. The first competitions will be held in Cox's Bazar, Comilla, Gazipur, Gopalganj, Bhola, Chuadanga, Jaipurhat, Nilphamari and Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamlapur.
