49 outlaws in Natore surrender


Some 49 underground operatives have surrendered at Pirgachha in the face joint drive by local Mujahedin Committee and police.

Officer-in-charge of Naldanga Police Station mediated the surrender of the outlaws at Pirgaha Model High School ground Wednesday evening. But none of them surrender any arms.

Mujahedin Committee was formed in the area recently following the murder of Gama, nephew of deputy minister Ruhul Kuddus Talukder Dulu. The committee and police in joint drives arrested ten young men suspected to be members of Sarbahara Party. Their houses were ransacked and damaged.

Locals termed 'farce' the surrender of 49 Sharbahara men. The said the activists have not surrender their arms. The outlaws have been set free soon after the surrender. No legal process has been adopted.
