Desh issue banned

The government has confiscated April 2 issue of Indian magazine 'Desh' for using indecent words about Hazrat Adam and Eve (peace be on them).

"Import, sale, distribution, republication and preservation of April 2 issue of the Bengali magazine published from India are prohibited", said a government handout yesterday.

It said the government took the decision apprehending that such indecent words about Hazrat Adam and Eve (peace be on them) might create adverse reaction among the Muslim community of the country.
