6 injured in nor'wester


At least six people including a woman were injured and over 50 houses damaged when a nor'wester battered the Sadar and two other upazilas of the district Tuesday night.

Hundreds of trees were uprooted, blocking roads in many areas.

The worst affected villages are Peer Bari and Medda in the Sadar upazila; Shahbazpur, Rajabaria Kandi, Baishamura, Tantar, Dawra, Budda and Barwra under Sarail and Nasirnagar upazilas.

The six persons were injured at Rajabaria, Kandi and Shabazpur villages.

One of them--Manuara Begum, 30, of Rajataria village-- was admitted to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital in a critical condition.
