Myanmar PM arrives on April 4

Myanmar Prime Minister General Khin Nyunt arrives in Dhaka on April 4 on a three-day official visit. This will be the Myanmar premier's first visit abroad since he assumed office, sources said. Nyunt will hold talks with Prime Minister Khaleda Zia on arrival and join a dinner hosted by her the same day, Foreign Minister M Morshed Khan told the news agency yesterday. He said the two leaders would discuss matters relating to proposed Bangladesh-Myanmar road link, bilateral trade and commerce adding that both countries have agreed to resolve all outstanding issues between them through dialogue and discussions. The foreign minister said Bangladesh-India-Myanmar-Sri Lanka-Thailand Economic Cooperation has accepted the propo-sed road as a trilateral project, which included Thailand as the third country. The issue of repatriating about 18,000 Myanmar refugees on voluntary basis would also come in their talks, Morshed said. He will visit some places of Buddhist religious importance in Bandarban and Cox's Bazar on April 5 and leave Chittagong for home the next day.
