Zia draws 9th game

Grand Master Ziaur Rahman drew his 9th round game of the First International Chess Tournament in Chennai, India yesterday.But despite the disappointing draw with Uzbek IM Vakhidov Tahir, the second Bangladeshi GM held the second position with six others, all having seven points each. International Women's Master Rani Hamid earned 5 points, Afroza Khanam Bably and Zakia Sultana raised their tally to 4 points each in the ladies section.
