Channel i shows a Cookery Show Vim Chatpat Ranna Jhatpat Porishkar every Saturday at 8:25 pm. A production of Kotha O Kahini, this programme is hosted by reputed Tagore singer Mita Haq. While talking about the programme Mita Haq said, 'Although I do not have any earlier experience, I am hosting this programme at the request of Neema Rahman, the director of this show. As a matter of fact, I have always had a hobby of cooking different dishes both local and foreign and also collect recipes. So I thought of giving it a try and take part in such a programme and now I am really engrossed in my work.' The recipes used in the show are especially for microwave cooking, a concept more familiar abroad. The best part of the show is Mita adding the local ingredients instead of foreign ones, creating a difference for the local palate. Mita said that she has got a good response from the viewers, who have tried her recipes at home and have enjoyed them.
