Tk 287.66cr default loan realised in 7 months

Some 6,352 cases were settled and default loan amounting to Tk 287.66 crore realised since Artha Rin Adalat Act 2003 came into effect.Law Minister Moudud Ahmed disclosed this yesterday at a meeting on Artha Rin Adalat Act2003, jointly organized by Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry and Bangladesh Bank. The Minister said that the success achieved in realising default loan only in seven months through the introduction of Artha Rin Adalat was not possible in the last five years. Among others State Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Shajahan Omar Bir Uttam , Governor of Bangladesh Bank Fakhruddin Ahmed, Finance Secretary Zakir Ahmed Khan and Law Secretary Md Asaduzzaman spoke at the meeting, said an official handout.
