PCJSS rejects BDR DG's remarks

The Parbatya Chattagram Jana Sanghati Samity (PCJSS) has dismissed certain remarks made by the director general (DG) of Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) after a high-level meeting with Indian Border Security Force (BSF) in New Delhi recently.In a press release issued yesterday, it said the DG told journalists in New Delhi that a section of members of Shanti Bahini, PCJSS' armed wing disarmed after the 1997 Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) peace accord, did not return home. And they are now reorganising insurgents with the assistance of Indian intelligence agencies. Several dailies carried the DG's allegation on January 10 and the PCJSS has taken note of it. The PCJSS claimed the allegation is false and baseless and protested it.
