Abdul Jabbar Khan

I used to be an avid DS reader. I am back from the United States after studying and working, and have found The Daily Star a more or less unbiased newspaper. On 29th December, 2003, I opened the DS eagerly in search of (at least) one article on Abdul Jabbar Khan--- the first Bengali film producer (Mukho Mukhosh) .

I was really disappointed that The Daily Star, which happens to cover every notable wedding, death and birthday, failed to give a story marking the 10th death anniversary of this renowned national figure.

He was the first Bengali film producer, advisor to the Shadhin Bangla Betar during the Liberation War, a Freedom Fighter, Governor of Lions Club, Founder of Leo Club.... and the list can go on. On 29th December, I looked through the pages, and saw two people mentioned in the "Death Anniversary" section. Nowhere in the newspaper did it mention the death anniversary of AJ Khan.

How do you prioritise articles? I think The Daily Star should have at least written an article on him, if not a good cover story, in the Weekend Magazine.
