Policeman buys Ershad Shikder's house

A police officer, now serving at Jhikargachha thana of Jessore, has purchased the house of condemned criminal Ershad Shikder at Bhairab Strand Road at a cost of Tk 24 lakh. A deed to this effect was registered in the name of the wife of the police officer on November 1, sources said. The police officer, who hails from Nalchhity upazila of Pirojpur, paid the money to Ershad Shikder's first wife in presence of a former mayor of KCC.
