Police and security sources said Bijoy Lal Chakma, 55, and Prem Lal Chakma, 52, of village Ranga-panichhara, and Purna Sen Chakma, 45, of village Buchhari, were abducted from their houses.

Police and security forces are conducting joint operation in different areas of the upazila to rescue the abducted three.

Police suspected that the abductors might be the members of the United People's Democratic Front (UPDF).
