Rafique fined

Mohammad Rafique was fined half of his mach fee for showing excessive aggression against England batsman Mark Butcher during the first day's play of the second Test at the MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong yesterday.

After bowling the Surrey southpaw, the Bangladesh left-arm spinner was seen on television pointing Butcher towards the dressing room.

Match referee Wasim Raja of Pakistan summoned Rafique after second day's play and found him guilty of violating the code of conduct. The leading Bangladesh wicket-taker was fined fifty percent of his match fee.

This is the second time in the series a player has been fined after England all-rounder Rikki Clarke. The Surrey cricketer was charged with verbally abusing Mushfiqur Rahman in the first Test at Dhaka.
