BN staff course certificate award ceremony held

The certificate Award Ceremony of 18th junior staff course of the Bangladesh Navy was held at Bangladesh Naval Academy auditorium, Patenga yesterday.Chief of the Naval Staff Rear Admiral Shah Iqbal Mujtaba was present on the occasion as chief guest and gave away the certificates among the participating officers, says an ISPR press release. The course, which was organised for the mid-level officers of the armed forces, included one officer from India Navy, one officer each from Bangladesh Army and Air Force and 10 officers from the host service. Speaking on the occasion, the naval chief said the junior staff course had a significant bearing in the complex and diversified life of the armed forces officers in improving their managerial skill, ability to communicate and efficient management of the men under their command. He further noted that in view of tremendous technological advancement in the field of electronics and information technology, there was no alternative to developing the standard of professional knowledge. The naval chief called upon the participating officers to be truly sincere and dedicated to perform their duties to the nation, to the government and to the service. He further advised them to uphold the morale values and principles in all spheres of their life. Earlier, commodore commanding Chittagong Commodore S J Nizam and Commanding Officer of the naval academy captain M F Habib received the naval chief on his arrival at the BNA auditorium. High military and civil officers were also present on the occasion.
