Trust Bank Limited, owned by the army, has terminated its managing director, Zahid Hossain, on charge of hiding important information about some foreign transactions and irregularities in sanctioning loans.Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Hasan Mashhud Chowdhury, who is the chairman of the bank, in a letter yesterday terminated Zahid. Earlier, the Bangladesh Bank issued a no-objection certificate for the termination. The bank board on August 7 suspended Zahid. Zahid could not be contacted for comments despite repeated attempts.
