5-yr-old girl raped, fighting for life

A five-year-old girl has been fighting for her life at the Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital (SBMCH) after she was raped allegedly by her two next-door neighbours last Saturday.The alleged rapists Arafat and Raju, sons of Hakim Ali of East Char Laxmipur of Muladi Police Station under Barisal district reportedly went to the hospital and threatened the victim's family with dire consequences if any case is filed against them. Doctors at the Child Surgery ward said the victim is still not out of danger. No case was filed till writing of this report yesterday.
