Abducted businessman's leg severed

A group of miscreants abducted one businessman and chopped off his fingers and a leg in the city on Saturday. The victim is Mahbub Hossain Babu, 30, a kerosin oil businessman. According to police, notorious extortionists Sohel, Milon and their gang demanded Tk 50,000 from Babu, which he refused to pay. A group of armed miscreants allegedly abducted him on Saturday at around 10:30pm and took him to an under construction building. Four fingers were chopped of from Babu's right hand and one of his legs was severed. Local people recovered Babu in critical condition and admitted him to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital. A case has been lodged but so far no one was arrested.
