2 killed in Kishoreganj train-Nasiman crash
At least two men died as a Dhaka-bound train hit a Nasiman, locally made three-wheeler vehicle, carrying bamboos this afternoon in Kuliarchar upazila of Kishoreganj.
The deceased were identified as: Morshed Mia, 28 and Sunam Uddin, 60.
The Nasiman was passing Borkharchar rail crossing near Kuliarchar railway station when the Dhaka-bound Egarosindur Express hit it around 3:00pm, reports our Kishoreganj correspondent.
The driver, Morshed, was crossing the rail track and got stuck on the track, said Mahbubur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Govt Railway Police Station of Kuliarchar, quoting witnesses.
Morshed died on the spot while Sunam, a businessman, succumbed to his injuries on his way to Zahurul Islam Medical College Hospital, the police official added.
