2 injured in Dhaka crude bomb blasts
A rickshaw puller and a shoe trader were injured in separate crude bomb explosions in Dhaka this evening on the 15th day of the BNP-led 20-party alliance’s countrywide nonstop blockade.
Both the injured are taking treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
Suspected blockaders exploded two crude bombs at Doyel Chattar on Dhaka University campus around 7:15pm, leaving rickshaw puller Abdul Mannan injured.
He suffered splinter injuries in the right hand, Inspector Mozammel Haque of DMCH Police Camp told The Daily Star.
In another development, a shoe trader suffered splinter injuries when opposition activists hurled two crude bombs at Siddique Bazar in the old part of the capital around 7:30pm.
The explosion took place when Helal Uddin was standing in front of his shoe shop, the police officer added.
