2 hurt as muggers hurl bomb in capital
Two people suffered splinter injuries as muggers blasted a crude bomb and robbed of Tk 1.26 lakh from one of them in the capital's Gulistan area today.
Palash (full name could not be known), 55, and Md Foyez, 24, are now undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital, said Morshed Alam, officer-in-charge of Paltan Police Station.
The muggers blasted the handmade bomb and snatched the money from Palash when he was crossing a road in Gulistan around noon, the OC said.
Foyez, a vendor, received splinter injuries as he was sitting beside the road, the police official said.
