14-party to send delegation to Gaza
Ruling Awami League-led 14-party alliance today decided to send a delegation of its representatives to Palestine to express sympathy for the victims of Israeli attacks on Gaza.
The decision came at a meeting of the alliance at the AL president’s political office in Dhanmondi.
The 14-party alliance urged the foreign ministry to take necessary steps in this regard.
Briefing reporters after the meeting, convener of the 14-party alliance and AL presidium member Mohammad Nasim said the alliance strongly protested and condemned the Israeli aggression in Gaza which left more than 250 innocent people killed in the last couple of days.
The 14-party expressed grave concerns over the killings and termed the attack heinous, urging the international community to put immense pressure on Israel to immediately stop the aggression.
The 14-party leaders -- Rashed Khan Menon, Hasanul Haque Inu, Mahbubul Alam Hanif, Dipu Moni, Dilip Barua, Ahmed Hossain, Abdus Sobhan Golap and Mrinal Kanti Das, among others were present at the meeting.
